Hey - i am 26 years old and i live in the Uk. I discovered Konad around October 2010 , and my bank balance has yet to recover. i have since collected a very large collection of fauxnads and Konads. the goal for this blog is simple - (1) Further explore the world of nail art stamping. (2) To keep a record of all my experiments with stamping. (3) To show you the potential each stamp has. (4) To show you that you don't have to be a 'Konading' expert to have fun! =)

Bursting with color + BM01

Hey Girlies

I'm going to keep my first manicure posted on here very Basic, whilst ensuring that the colour bursts out.
*I'm such a messy nail painter, ill soon tidy this up*
The first set of plates i purchased after exhausting my *starter kit's* konad plates M02 and M03 was the Monster Bundle collection of 21 plates. I was very nervous and worried about how these plates would perform as they were my first Fauxnads. However after stamping my first image, i was extremely happy with how the image transferred onto my nails.
I used polishes from the 'Front Cover Nail Varnish Gift set', that my little sister got me this christmas for this Manicure.
I'm very happy with my basic Manicure turned out, and feel my mission was a success =).
Reviewing images on the BM01 plate:
* Apologies in advance for the sloppy application of polish, i was to eager to start my next project =-/ * For testing the BM01 plates i used, the following polishes:
Top image, China Glazes - Prize winning Mare. And for the below image , China Glazes - Side Saddle.
*Lesson learnt today...take all pictures in the same light / bonk!*

Hope you all had a great weekend!.

  1. i'm excited to get my BM plates! ordered it last month, and i've yet to receive it.

i love the skittles mani on your first photo =)

  2. Aww ty! i love the Monster Bundle set that much that i ordered and extra set for my little sister!

I was actually pleasantly surprised that they came in under a week to me! =))

    Hmm Skittles =)

  3. what kind of white polish did you use for your stamping? It looks really crisp and opaque! Ive been trying a few kind and they all turn out pretty sheer and Im just not quite ready to invest in the special polish yet >_<

I like your blog, I cant wait to see what you do!

  4. I tagged you in my blog ( in this stylish blog award thing.. :P)

    Please tag me ^^

  5. @ Samantha

I used konad white special nail polish to do this manicure. but if you have thick and/or opaque nail polish it will work too =)

Before i got the Konad white polish, i used to use any polish. i love the effect of a white base with colour stamped all over them <3 but like any hobby, its the case of trial and error - though saying that some polish's might not show up very well if the nail polish is runny or sheer. white non konad polishes i've used in the past with success is Sally Hansen - Insta-Dri Whirlwind White, ill do an article to do a comparison soon =)

While i'm not pretending to be a expert (actually i'm far from a expert =-/ ) ..the best advise i can give is to Just have fun and experiment. In the end i got my konad white on ebay for a total bargain!

so My advise after rambling on -) is to try a thick and opaque nail polish if you don't have konad special polish.

    / Hugs!!
