About Me

My Photo
Birmingham, United Kingdom
Hey - i am 26 years old and i live in the Uk. I discovered Konad around October 2010 , and my bank balance has yet to recover. i have since collected a very large collection of fauxnads and Konads. the goal for this blog is simple - (1) Further explore the world of nail art stamping. (2) To keep a record of all my experiments with stamping. (3) To show you the potential each stamp has. (4) To show you that you don't have to be a 'Konading' expert to have fun! =)

I brought them from the lovely Chez Delaney at http://www.chez-delaney.com/delaney.html..... and i couldn't wait to try them out!

I selected a plate at random for my first review.

Just to let you girlie's know.. i will test every plate and every image =) To show you exactly how each plate preforms!

*Please accept my apologies for this sloppy manicure..it was getting late and then my top coat lightly smudged the image *Grr* =-/ However down below are *Semi* perfect swatches!*

For this manicure i used:

- Image plate D19.
- Barry M nail Paint's Wild Purple , Cyan Blue & Cobalt Blue.
- Konad Special White polish.

I love this plate!

.... and i love that the boat reminds me of the boat used in the television show 'Blue Peter'!..well ever so slightly it kinda does...Well anyway it defiantly brings back a lot of craft memories!

Here is the 'Before i stamped' picture.

And here is a picture of all my lovely new plates *Drool!*.
*Bounce!!*

Here is the lovely D19 plate that i used.

For swatching the D19 plate i used:

-N.Y.C Canal Street.
- Konad Special White Polish.

Ive tried to capture each swatch picture with and without flash to attempt to show you each image =).

(these pictures can be enlarged)

Firstly Ive got to say I'm very happy with this plate.

I was very worried the plates wouldn't work...however these pictures speak for themselves!.

Each image transferred so smoothly.

Although you cannot see the mermaid and merman brilliantly...i can say now..they looked fantastic!.

There is a lot of images to choose from in this set ..giving you fantastic value for money!.

I cant wait to review more plates.

Have a good Thursday girlie's!

/Hugs

XL B + 'Gemstone Grillwork fabric'

Hey Ladies.

Another weekend over =-/ boohoo ...but at least i feel more relaxed!.

I was random goggling earlier and found a pattern i knew id seen before - I looked at my plates and there the pattern was!. I decided to use this pattern on my XL B plate for my Monday ' back to work' manicure.

For this i used :

- China Glaze Yee-Haw.
- Essence Nail Art Stampy Polish - White.

I like how this looks...plus the colours are not 'Too in your Face' for work =).

I decided to use Essence Nail Art Stampy Polish for this manicure. i actually found it easy to work with. i will definitely review both the Black and White stampy polishes from this range again, in a comparison for you guys.

My swatch for the XL B plate can be found, by clicking on http://spellbindingnails.blogspot.com/search/label/XL%20B

I found this pattern design on Google (below) its labelled Gemstone Grillwork 1965.

The information with a brief history on this Gemstone Grillwork 1965 is - Tony Duquette used grillwork patterns extensively in his interior design work. Intricate Moroccan grillwork studded with brass nails, 18th century Chinese snowflake patterns or French trellis patterns were repeatedly used to enhance his decorative effects. For this special fabric for Jim Thompson, we have created an intricate grillwork pattern evoking an Indian Moghul ivory inlay which overlays the rich malachite, lapis lazuli, rose quartz, Persian black and onyx background patterns.

Hopefully next week the postman will give me some items i ordered for my first giveaway - so watch this space!

I hope you had a fantastic weekend girlie's!

/Hugs!

Bundle Monster ‎@Sarah, they will be named BM-201 to BM-225.

Monster bundle have also said -----The plates will be sold in a set for the best value. As for the backing, we may consider it. However, as you can understand, every little detail is additional cost in production and will reflect in the final price of the product. We try to offer the best value for the money to our customer, so sometimes really need to find that perfect "balance". :)

they've also said

Bundle Monster - the new set will not replace the old set. It will be sold separately. The full nail design will be a little larger than the 1st set; a revision based on customer reviews. We are listening! We appreciate all the feedbacks!
